Community Steps Winter Edition
Community Steps: Winter Edition
Builds on the heart of our summer Community Steps event, but shifts to meet families’ seasonal needs in a new way. While the summer edition centered around giving kids a confident start to the school year with brand-new shoes and a haircut, the Winter Edition is about wrapping families in warmth, care, and community during the colder months. Instead of sneakers, this event focuses on winter essentials like coats, boots, hats, mittens, and other cold-weather gear—ensuring every child is prepared for Minnesota’s harsh winters.
Both editions share the same mission: creating moments of joy and community support by offering families more than just items, but also a chance to connect with community resources and neighbors. What makes the Winter Edition unique is the emphasis on seasonal support—helping families not just step into the classroom, but step into winter with confidence, safety, and comfort.
