Volunteer Opportunities

There are many ways to get involved, and no special experience is required.

Event Support

Help with check-in, greeting families, registration, meal service, setup, cleanup, and event logistics.

Family Guides

Assist families throughout the event, answer questions, and help them navigate activities and resources.

Youth Activities

Support games, crafts, and interactive experiences during the Resource Carnival.

Resource Carnival

Help community partners with activities, direct families to booths, and create a fun, welcoming atmosphere.

Behind the Scenes

Prepare supplies, organize materials, assemble welcome bags, and assist with event preparation before the big day.

Special Skills

Photographers, hairstylists, translators, medical professionals, tradespeople, and others with unique skills are always welcome to share their expertise.

Do volunteers sort shoes?
No. Community Steps is not a shoe drive. We take youth shopping for shoes at Famous Footwear, where they select the shoes that meet their unique style.

Do I need experience?
No. We'll provide guidance and match you with a role that fits your interests and comfort level.

Can I volunteer for only part of the event?
Yes! We offer flexible volunteer shifts whenever possible.

Can my business or organization volunteer together?
Absolutely. Group volunteering is a great way to give back while strengthening your team.
