Mel is a 2025 St. Louis County Public Health Achievement Award recipient, artist, community advocate, caring parent, friend, and neighbor from the Duluth, Minnesota community. Her work at PAVSA connects her with folks across Cook, Lake, St. Louis and Carlton Counties who are paving the way for a better future for succeeding generations to live healthy, safe and equitable lives, free from violence and exploitation.
